Terms of Service
What you're buying
FixCounter is a point of sale and back office for phone and computer repair shops: sales, repair tickets, phones by IMEI, stock and orders, staff rosters and hours, reports and the end-of-day close. You use it in a web browser, on the Windows app and on the mobile app. FelixRay Pty Ltd ("we") provides it. The business that signs up ("you") runs it in its own stores.
Plans, trial and billing
Two plans: Solo (1 shop, up to 5 logins) and Multi-Store (2 or more shops, 8 logins per shop). The prices are those on our FixCounter page when you sign up, or the ones agreed in writing for your business. They exclude GST, and a tax invoice is issued for every charge.
Free trial: Solo 15 days, Multi-Store 1 month. No card is needed to start, and nothing switches off by itself. Before your trial ends we will call you to talk about a plan. If you choose not to continue, you can export your data.
After the trial, plans are billed monthly in advance (or yearly where agreed). Each shop is billed from the month it starts using FixCounter.
Setup. We help set up your products, prices and staff. Any setup fee is agreed with you in writing before the work starts.
Cancelling
Cancel at any time with notice by e-mail. The cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you have paid for. Before you leave you can export your sales, stock and customer records.
Your responsibilities
- The prices, products, repair prices, warranties and messages you set up are yours. Keep them true and lawful.
- Give your staff their own logins and PINs. Don't share them, and remove staff who leave.
- Keep your customers' information private, and only use it for your shop.
- Count your cash and check your reports. FixCounter helps you keep the books, but you remain responsible for your tax and business records.
- No unlawful use. Don't try to break into, copy or resell the service.
Remote support
When you ask for help, our support team can open your FixCounter account to fix the problem. We use this only to help you, never to watch your business.
Honest limits of the service
Nothing in these terms excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Beyond those: FixCounter depends on the internet, cloud hosting and payment, e-mail and messaging providers we don't own. We aim for it to be always available, and the Windows app keeps selling when the internet drops and sends the sales when it returns, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. FixCounter records your sales; it does not process card payments itself (your Eftpos terminal does).
Liability
To the extent the law allows, our liability is capped at the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profits, for decisions you make from your reports, or for stock, cash or tax errors that come from wrong information entered into FixCounter.
Your data
Your business data belongs to you. Our FixCounter Privacy Policy explains how we look after it. You can export it at any time, and when you leave we delete it as that policy says.
Changes
We may update these terms with 30 days' notice by e-mail. Continued use means you accept the change. Price changes never apply in the middle of a billing period, and come with 30 days' notice.
